Syrah Wines

Beckmen Syrah 2011

Medium ruby color; appealing, tar, roasted black fruit, roasted coffee nose; rich, tasty, medium-plus bodied, roast coffee, roasted black fruit palate with firm, sweet tannins. ($22.00)

Denner Syrah 2012

Clean, fresh and intense. It has a good long finish, exhibits clearly delineated fruit aromas, showcasing an array of sweet, dark fruits. These aromatics are nicely complemented by an underpinning of exotic Indo-Eastern spices and smoky oak.  The mouth is compact and powerful in its entry, turning more elegant and restrained through the mid-palate. Ample aeration begins to soften the youthful tannins building a beautiful texture. The finish draws focus to the balancing act of fruit, acid and tannin. ($60.00)

Halter Ranch Syrah 2012

Our 2012 Syrah opens with aromas of violets, dark plum and pie crust. The mouth-coating entry provides flavors of baking spices and huckleberries which lead to a layered persistent finish. This elegant wine will pair well with grilled meats, game and hearty pasta dishes. ($35.00)

Roblar Syrah 2010

The vineyard in the cool Santa Rita Hills region brings deep purple color and lively black currant and spice flavors, the other from the center of the Santa Ynez Valley adds deep sweet fruit to the flavor and richness to the mouthfeel. A small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon from Santa Ynez is blended to complement the spicy Syrah fruit flavors. ($35.00)
